THE WISH

 THE WISH

 Summary

This short story "The Wish" was written by Roald Dahl. The story is based entirely on the imagination of the main character of a child. This story introduces the imaginary actions of this main character in a red carpet imaginary game.

The story begins with a little boy picking up a piece of cloth from his knee and throwing it away. It sits far away on the carpet in her house hall in red, black, and yellow patterns.

The boy decides that the red parts of the carpet are charcoal and that the black parts are snakes. He decides that only yellow areas are safe and makes the point that if he can get to the front door only through the yellow sections and avoid the coals and snakes, he will be rewarded with a puppy. He does well when he fails to settle down and his hand falls on the "snake." Let them be.

The story ends in a mysterious way with his mother looking for him in the back of the house. umata.

The child expresses an idea that is very interesting to the reader because he or she is able to think. The situation before him as he testifies to his emotionally planted mind is clear and suspicious. For example, we feel like we have a boy immediately in the next episode as we deal with his awareness: the snake moves as if it feels close, and he raises his head and stares at the foot with bright beaded eyes. , looking to see if it would affect. "I don't touch you! You must not bite me! You know I do not touch you!"

This is a story about confidence overcoming fear. We can argue that the boy is motivated by greed - wanting a dog - but that seems to be less of a desire to face and overcome challenges. The boy knows that he will not be rewarded with a puppy .To understand the text
